I try not to use my blog as a soap box too much, but it is my blog and I can do what I want, so I am dragging out the soap box today.
There is a documentary about breed discrimination and pit bull type dogs coming out this winter called "Guilty 'Til Proven Innocent". Breed discriminatory legislation makes my blood boil and the perception of pit bull type dogs that has been created by the media is completely inaccurate. The first trailer for the documentary has just been put up on Youtube and they have a Facebook page for the film as well. Their goal is to get a million views on Youtube and a million likes on Facebook. Since I don't have a Facebook account, I decided to do my part here. On Saturday, I attended a viewing of "Beyond the Myth" with a panel discussion following which involved the producer and one of the activist regarding BSL primarily in San Francisco, Maimi/Dade (Florida) and Cincinnati. Sad to say Ohio is not a good place to live if you own a pittie. Makes my blood boil too. I need to confirm, but I have heard Village of Sunbury has BSL, too. :-(

Just read Joni's comment and got curious and looked up the BSL for sunbury.
505.14 DANGEROUS AND VICIOUS DOGS
That's the ordinance and it specifically says "No person in the Village of Sunbury, Ohio shall own, possess, or control a pit bull terrier as defined in subsection (a)(4)C. hereof within the Municipal limits of the Village of Sunbury, Ohio."
Maybe we can find out who the village administrator is and contact them :-)
